I have known Amanda since she was just a little girl playing on the playground at our elementary school. Being asked to photograph her wedding was both a thrill and an honor for me. There’s just a shared comaraderie between people who have grown up in the same surroundings, had similar life experiences growing up and who know the same people. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces on her guest list. Amanda and Chris live in the Annapolis Valley but chose to marry near her hometown and selected White Point Beach Resort for their special day. They were married overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on White Point Beach with the surf softly crashing. I admit it, I have a soft spot in my heart for beach weddings – I was married on a beach on Nova Scotia’s South Shore as well. After their beautiful ceremony which had been threatened by rain most of the day, we ventured out on to the sand for some formals before enjoying a lovely meal and reception in Lakeside Hall.
