Inspired Images – Photography by Tammi Hayne bio picture

Born and raised in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, people realized even at a very early age, that I had "an eye" for composing images.

Photography is a passion for me and one that continues to grow. Over the years my work has evolved and I feel I've developed a unique style. I love it when people say they have viewed an image of mine and knew immediately that I took it.

I believe in sharing the beautiful moments in life and welcome the opportunity to capture your memories for you so they can be preserved and relived again and again.

Jennifer & Mark – Halifax Wedding Photography

Jennifer and Mark are one of those couples that just ooze fun. My first time photographing them was for their engagement photos and we had a blast. I knew immediately that their wedding day was going to be fun but just much more of it! Jennifer and Mark are both children at heart and enjoy being silly, goofy and both possess a wonderful sense of humor. Their mischievous grins and spontaneity leave you never knowing what they’ll do next which proved very entertaining on their wedding day. After their church wedding we ventured off to the Public Gardens for formals and then their reception which was held at the grand and elegant Halifax Club. In case you think you’re seeing double, in a way you are – Jennifer has an identical twin sister who was her Maid of Honor.

Lindsay & Tim – Nova Scotia Wedding Photography

Lindsay and Tim were married on the hottest day of the entire summer. One of those unbearably humid and sweltering days where all you want to do is soak your feet in buckets of ice. Imagine how in awe I was of Lindsay when she had to wear a heavy wedding dress and she didn’t complain once! I’ve known Lindsay literally all of her life – I held her as a newborn. It was both an honor for me and a pleasure to photograph her wedding – what a beautiful young woman she has become. It was particularly fun to watch her and her attendants getting ready – for a period of time I also took care of Lindsay and her little brother – and the last time I had seen most of these young women was when they were nine or ten years old and visiting the house to play with Lindsay after school. Boy did I feel old! A very special guest at their wedding was their 19 month old son. Lindsay and Tim were married in the Liverpool Baptist Church and we ventured up the Mersey River to Tupper Park in Milton to have formal shots taken. Their reception was held at the Liverpool Curling Rink and I think I would not be alone in wishing the rink actually contained ice to cool us off that day!

Vanessa & Peter – Halifax Wedding Photography

Vanessa and Peter were married on a beautiful summer day in July. Their ceremony took place at St. Agnes Church. The church has the most beautiful stained glass windows which cast gorgeous colored light into the church from the afternoon light. Once their vows were exchanged we took the short trip along the Northwest Arm to Sir Sanford Flemming Park where I was able to capture some stunning shots of the couple. Their reception was hosted at the Holiday Inn on Robie Street (now the Atlantica Hotel).

Amanda & Kyle – Halifax Wedding Photography

From the first time I met with Amanda and her parents to discuss providing wedding photography services on her special day, I knew instantly she would be one of my favorite brides of all time. Her spirit is infectious and the photos speak for themselves of her genuine beauty. It was a perfect sunny summer day for a wedding and once the ceremony concluded we headed to the Dartmouth Common and then McCormack’s Beach in Eastern Passage for formals. The attendants Amanda and Kyle chose for their special day were a really great group of people and we had a lot of fun during the shoot. One of my favorite photos is the one where Amanda’s Dad is handing her off to Kyle and shaking hands. The look of sheer love in Amanda’s eyes for her Dad just gets me every time I look at it. Amanda is also very close to her sister who was her maid of honor and they had fun reliving their childhood like little school girls dressing up like princesses.
